Our goal
We want everyone to be able to use blindharborstudio.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology. We aim for the site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA where we can.
What we've done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, and a "Skip to content" link is the first thing you can tab to.
- Keyboard focus is always shown with a clear outline.
- Pages use real headings, lists, landmarks, and labels, so screen readers can move through them.
- Every screenshot has a text description. Screenshots open in a larger view that you can close with the Escape key or the Close button, and focus goes back to where you were.
- Text and controls meet WCAG AA color contrast.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% and the layout reflows on small screens without scrolling sideways.
- Animations stop if your device is set to reduce motion. On every page you can also press "Pause animations" at the top to stop them yourself. Nothing on the site flashes.
- There are no time limits, pop-ups, auto-playing sound, or video.
Known limitations
- Headings use a handwritten-style font. Body text uses a clearer typeface, and you can override fonts in your browser settings.
- The screenshots show a game in development. Each one has a written description, but they're pictures of a 3D scene, so some visual detail can't be fully captured in words.
- Links to other websites, like our host's privacy policy, go to sites we don't control.
This statement covers this website. We'll publish accessibility information for our game when there's more to share.
How we check
We review the site ourselves against WCAG 2.1 AA, using keyboard-only testing, browser zoom, contrast measurement, and automated testing tools. We re-check when we add new pages or features.
